Hi! I'm Tonya

I'm the Founder of

The Whiteside Group

Tonya L. Whiteside is a wife, mother, educator and a credentialed high school counselor. She has been motivating individuals for many years. Tonya holds master degrees in Education and Human Services, and Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.

 

She is an inspiration to many and is the author of  “Change The Atmosphere with Encouraging Words”, “Rebuilding Life after Trauma” and newly released, "I Am More Than My Hair" coloring book.  Both books are sure to lift your spirits.

Tonya is the CEO and Presenter for The Whiteside Group. She has over 25 years of service work with the public and thirteen years of teaching and facilitating. She spent eight years in U. S. Army Reserve.

​

With experience in human services, Tonya has worked in the field of corrections for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and has taught job search techniques to welfare-to-work participants. She also facilitates and customizes life skills

workshops such as:  vision board retreats, self-assessment, communication, job readiness, workplace diversity, stress management, and advancement strategies.

​

Tonya works with students, employers, schools, and social organizations helping to build a better workforce and environment.  She creates, coordinates and presents orientations for students at the elementary middle, high school, and college levels. She also teaches entrepreneurship to middle and high school students.

​

Infusing spiritual wisdom and encouragement, Tonya works with churches and various non-profit organizations. She has a certificate of completion in Christian Education Teacher’s Training from Friendship Baptist Church and a certificate of completion for the volunteer mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training in the State of California.

Veterans

A Veteran Military Truck Driver, Tonya continues to offer messages of support and encouragement to active military, veterans, and their families. She especially has a passion for women who have served and are still serving.

The Army’s core values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless-Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage are embedded in all of her messages. Tonya is committed to giving back to the community that gave her so much.
